  • Mi Via is a self-directed Medicaid waiver program that allows individuals with disabilities to have more control over their services and supports, including choosing their own providers and managing their budgets.

  • Mi Via covers a variety of services, including in-home living supports, respite care, employment services, therapies, and other self-directed supports to promote independence.

  • We help providers with billing, compliance management, training, and navigating the Mi Via system, ensuring timely and accurate payments for services rendered.

  • Providers must meet Mi Via program requirements, pass background checks, complete necessary training, and be listed as an approved provider.

  • Providers are reimbursed based on the participant’s approved Mi Via budget. Payments are processed once all required documentation and billing submissions are received.

  • In the New Mexico Mi Via Waiver program, an Employer of Record (EOR) is an individual responsible for managing and directing the work of employees and vendors who provide services to a Mi Via participant. The EOR plays a crucial role in ensuring that the participant's needs and preferences are met through self-directed services.

  • The Participant: If capable and willing, the participant themselves can serve as their own EOR, taking direct control over their services. However, if a participant has granted a Power of Attorney (POA) or Guardianship over financial matters to another individual, they are not permitted to serve as their own EOR. A Designated Representative: If the participant is unable or prefers not to assume the EOR role, they can appoint a trusted individual.
